Nowhere That I Know
Is there anywhere that we have not travelled on social media already? Can we regain the mystery and intrigue of locations we have not yet visited? The series features places that look instantly recognizable, but end up dodging easy identification. This unsatisfied temptation teases the current context of social media for its over-exposure of images & locations.
It’s a sampling of places with compelling provenance, yet which remain nameless; fleeting as memory but timeless as impressions. The photographs are taken across Europe, the US and Saudi Arabia. Some of the works have titles that further serve to intrigue and some are left nameless. This project consists of three series and includes diptychs and triptychs.
